Obverse: Columbia, standing and facing right, carrying the flag of the United States in a protective stance over an allegory of Louisiana who is removing her French flag; perimeter legend, date below, roundels in each of the three corners augmented by stars; Reverse: Eagle, facing, looking left, with wings spread, escutcheon below with legend, two dolphins and seashell below; roundels in each of the three corners augmented by stars.
