Obverse: Robust male and female nudes over the Isthmus of Panama, sunrise and clouds in the background; Reverse: The Exposition's "Tower of Jewels" building with award legend in cartouche below, all between wreath of palm branches; perimeter legend with date below. The imagery relates the joining of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans via the Panama Canal to the joining of a man and a woman.
