Obverse: Cuirassed and helmeted bust of France, facing left, with a Gallic cock and laurel wreath gracing the period helmet, perimeter legend at left; Reverse: Escutcheon with legend on a cartouche, cherub sitting at left, facing right, holding one end of a garland, another cherub standing on the cartouche at right, setting the garland on the mural crown topping the Arms of St.-Mihiel.
