SWITZERLAND. Swiss Confederation Shooting Festival in Bern Bronze Medal, 1885. NGC MS-65 Brown.
R-200d; Martin-119. By Edouard Durussel, Bern. 40mm. Obverse: Helvetia, left hand holding sword with Bern Arms behind, crowns a crossbowman with a laurel wreath in her right hand; perimeter legend; Reverse: Bernese bear standing, facing left, holding a runka in its right paw and Swiss Arms in its left; perimeter legend. An extremely attractive specimen with a uniform mahogany brown patina on glossy surfaces. Listed as "Very Rare" in Richter. Note that the "R-200b" designation on the holder is in error; R-200d is the correct designation for a bronze specimen in the most recent edition of Richter.
