Obverse: City view of Fribourg within mixed oak and floral wreath, Swiss Arms below, superimposed on two crossed rifles and two flags; Reverse: Female allegories of (l-r) Fribourg, Switzerland, and Solothurn, with Solothurn holding a parchment inscribed "1481 1881"; perimeter legend above, date range in exergue below. The reverse design celebrates the admission of Fribourg and Solothurn to the Swiss Confederacy in 1481 in the aftermath of the Burgundy Wars.
