Obverse: Frauenfeld Arms superimposed on three crossed rifles and a shooting target, all on a mixed wreath of oak and laurel; perimeter legend; Reverse: Armed Helvetia, sword in her right hand protectively holds shield above allegory of Thurgau, seated at right, who holds the Thurgau Arms; Frauenfeld castle in background at left, perimeter legend above, date in exergue below. The 1803 date commemorates the year Thurgau joined the Swiss Confederation.
