R-1609b; Martin-962. By Hans Frei, Bâle, and Ferdinand Hodler, Berne. 50mm. Obverse: Five Coats of Arms along the top perimeter, laurel and oak sprigs immediately below, five-line legend in lower field within stylized laurel and oak sprig; Reverse: Crowd of civilian men, armed and facing, one carrying a banner; banderole above, Arms of Vaud below. Unawarded medal with an "S" counterstamp below the center coat of arms. The Carabiners of Lausanne is still an active organization nearing its 200th anniversary.
