SYRIA. Seleuceia in Pieria. 1st Century BC. Æ 20 X 22mm (8.46 gm, 12h). Veiled and turreted head of Tyche right, countermark of diademed female head right / Filleted thunderbolt on throne, date BΠ (CY 82 = 28/7 BC) beneath throne. HGC 9, 1388. Green patina with earthen fields. Very Fine. From The Dr. Patrick Tan CollectionThe diademed female head in the countermark (only partially struck up here) resembles some portraits of Cleopatra VII, and has been described as such in some catalogs, but the civic date of 28/7 BC here is well after her downfall and would seem to preclude this identification.
