Token 9 piece Diverse Group, Darien Gold Mining Company octagonal 20 Cents from around 1899 features a old miner, with picks and a shovel, moiling for gold in the hard ground; the piece has an unexplained "3" countermark neatly placed right below the "20". Interested parties could review our commentary under lot 28245 in our April 2013 CICF catalogue. Horqueta' Segundo Diaz issues a brass 1 Lata shown as Rulau Chq -28; a canceled version, Rulau Chq -29 is also included. Plowman lists these as 210.100 and 210.101. Finca de Café Osorio issued a three piece set shown as Rulau Chq 30 -32 -33 and Plowman 480. The full Lata and Half Lata are canceled while the ¼ Lata is not. S. Soracco of Colon and Zubieta & Pasos types of CuNi 5 Cents are the issues of PT 630.05 and 700.05. The ninth and final piece shows "E. Panama 1924". An aluminum 25 Centavos of 28mm and good design indicating Finca Santo Domingo is reportedly likely from further north in Central America.
