Unheard of in this grade, this is a small-change note that was printed locally during a coin shortage. Seldom seen in any grade but especially rare in uncirculated condition, a look at the PMG population report reveals that just one other example of this type has been graded, a low Very Fine 20. Auction records reveal that this type appears at public auction quite infrequently, with at most one or two offerings at public auction each year (and typically only in well circulated grades). An important opportunity for the African specialist and the plate note in the new reference on paper money of the African branches of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino, as noted by PMG.
