Belize 1.6.1980 P-42 PMG Superb Gem UNC 67 EPQ 100 Dollars
The highest denomination from this series, and a type note that has become very scarce and in demand in recent years. This was the first time that this denomination was printed in Belize, and its total output was relatively small, as this denomination represented large purchasing power at the time of issue. This is the one-year variety issued by the Monetary Authority of Belize and is a separate type from this denomination printed a few years later, which was issued by the Central Bank of Belize in 1983 and is much more frequently seen. This is only the second time we have been able to offer this rare type, and it is by far the superior example of the two. An opportunity for the Commonwealth or QEII specialist not to be missed, as high-grade examples of this type tend to be strongly held and seldom appear on the market.
