Latvia 2008 P-58* PMG Gem UNC 66 EPQ 500 Latu (Replacement)
An incredible modern note from Latvia that despite having been issued recently has become a major rarity, especially so in replacement form. Not only did this type circulate briefly (Latvia introduced the Euro on January 1st, 2014), it's large face value (approximately 711 Euros, or about $800) meant that few were not exchanged and put aside. Of those that were, most were regular issues, and we have seen precious few replacement notes (as identified by the Z suffix in the serial number) appear on the market. An important opportunity for the modern European specialist and one that is not to be missed.
