Switzerland, Bank in St. Gallen ND (ca. 1838) P-S431r PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 10 Gulden (Remainder)
Punch hole cancelled. The first in a trio of extremely rare remainders (although probably more properly identified as Proofs on India paper) for the 1830s issue of the Bank in St. Gallen, printed by Draper, Toppan, Longacre & Co., New York & Philadelphia. Unknown to exist in issued form, and rare otherwise.   This note would have been from the top or middle position of a sheet. The bank was founded in 1837 and this note is from the first issue.  The bank would later merge in 1906 with what today is Credit Suisse Group.
