Switzerland, Bank in St. Gallen ND (ca. 1852) P-S438r PMG Gem UNC 65 EPQ 50 Franken (Remainder)
The next denomination for this series printed in the United States in the 1850s. While these were issued for quite some time, we are not aware of any issued examples to exist, making remainders such as this the only way one can acquire these extremely rare types. This example features a lovely design including a train vignette.  As an interesting coincidence of heraldry, the city crest for St. Gallen is a standing bear, very similar in appearance and stance to the standing bear for the City of Berlin.
