Neck badge (52 mm, 26.4 g) made of GOLD and enamels. Marked with Piedmontese (Kingdom of Sicily) eagle' head gold mark (1824-1872). Small round piece between the cross and the crown apparently added later. Breast star (77 mm, 43 g) made of silver. Marked with corresponding Piedmontese (Kingdom of Sicily) silver mark (1824-1872). Applique of the breast star made of gold (unmarked). Provenance: said to be from the estate of Giuseppe Saracco, Italian Senator and Prime Minister 1900-1901, born 1821, died 1907. . 1+ (VF).
