MAURETANIA, ŠMŠ. Circa 50-1 BC. Æ (19.5mm, 5.19 g, 6h). Facing head of Baal-Melkart / Star between grain ear and grape cluster. MAA 179 var. (grain ear and grapes reversed); Mazard 647 var. (same; Lixus); SNG Copenhagen 707 abd 712 var. (same; Lixus). Green-brown patina, some roughness and light smoothing. Near VF. Very rare variety.
