KINGS of MAURETANIA. Ptolemy. AD circa 20/1-40. AR Denarius (14mm, 1.78 g, 11h). Caesarea mint. Uncertain date. Diademed and draped bust right / Winged kerykeion between two palm fronds; crescent above, RA and [date] flanking. Unpublished. Toned, light roughness on obverse, off center on reverse. Near EF. Unique; this reverse type is unpublished (though a similar type, with grain ears rather than palm fronds [Mazard 490], is known).
