CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea-Eusebia. Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Didrachm (20mm, 3.22 g, 11h). Dated RY 1 (AD 217). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Agalma of Mt. Argaeus surmounted by star, set on garlanded altar; ЄT A (date) in exergue. Ganschow, Münzen 657i; Sydenham, Caesarea –. Find patina, some iridescence and luster remain, roughness. VF. Extremely rare, Sydenham does not record any didrachms for Macrinus.
