SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Macrinus. AD 217-218. BI Tetradrachm (26mm, 10.88 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings displayed, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; O beneath eagle's head. Prieur 1004A. Find patina, slight porosity. Good VF. Extremely rare reverse legend, re-engraved TOΔ over ΠΠ.
