Prize Medal - The Stockman Medal 38.5mm diameter in silver, awarded to James S. Frew B.Sc. 1941, EF with some toning around the legends, in the original black box. Ralph Stockman (1861-1946) was Professor of Materia Medica, 1897 to 1937, and a leading authority in the field of pharmacology. He was awarded an LLD (Honorary Doctorate) in 1936 and the Stockman Medal is named after him. The medal was founded in 1937 in commemoration of the services of Ralph Stockman, Regius Professor of Materia Medica from 1897-1936. It is awarded annually to the student who obtains the highest aggregate number of marks in the subjects of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and of Medicine (including written, oral and clinical examinations but excluding Paediatrics)
