Madagascar 1978 Silver Proof Two-Coin Set
Proof set in 925 Silver, designs in frosted relief on a highly polished table. 10 Ariary weighs 9 grammes diameter 26.50mm; 20 Ariary weighs 12 grammes, diameter 30.50mm.
Obverse design features a laurel and a star, the value of the coin, the date and the name of the country. Reverse of the 10 Ariary shows a farmer cutting peat. The 20 Ariary depicts a tractor ploughing.
The coins are encapsulated, presented in a Royal Mint red case. Only 5,000 of these sets were minted.
