Example of the Deventer city mint, sought after by collectors in every state of preservation. The gold ducats of the city of Deventer are, along with the Friesland ones, among the most attractive of all ducats of the period of the Dutch Republic. Their rarity is evidenced by the fact that they were minted in only eleven years, and not all of them are noted on the auction market.
