Netherlands, Ducat 1634 - Zwolle

Numerous typographical errors, however – contrary to most of the auction descriptions – they are typical for ducats from the Zwolle mint. In particular, the spelling of the emperor's name FARDIN or FARDINAN instead of FERDINAND is the most popular or the only one for many dates. Similarly, misspelled MONFA instead of MONEA, IMPFR instead of IMPER, or AVRFA instead of AVREA.

A typical picture of the ruler, without a visible outline of the left hand holding the royal orb. On the reverse, the letters R punched with letter P with a leg added, the letter W in ZWOL punched in the form of two connected V letters.

Above average condition. Lots of mint luster. The few scratches on the planchet were probably made before the coin was minted, because they do not go through the elements of the minted image, which can be clearly seen to the right of the ruler's foot.

Bardzo ładny stan zachowania monety, rzadko spotykany dla tego rocznika. Dużo połysku menniczego.

Liczne błędy literowe, jednak – wbrew popularnym opisom ofertowym – typowe dla dukatów z mennicy Zwolle. W szczególności zapis imienia cesarza FARDINA lub FARDINAN zamiast FERDINAND jest dla wielu roczników najbardziej popularnym lub jedynym. Podobnie z błędnym zapisem MONFA zamiast MONEA, IMPFR zamiast IMPER czy AVRFA zamiast AVREA.

Typowe ujęcie władcy, bez widocznego zarysu lewej ręki w której trzyma jabłko królewskie. Na rewersie litery R wybite puncami literowymi P z dorobioną nóżką, litera W w ZWOL wybita w postaci dwóch połączonych liter V.
