Netherlands, Ducat 1766 - Utrecht

A knight characteristic for the ducats of the second half of the 18th century, with his elbow pushed back and an outstretched hand with a bunch of arrows (tied with „broken" ribbons for the first issues). This is only the third or fourth year minted with dies of J. W. Marmé, who – with a short break in the years 1795–1802 – remained a die sinker in Utrecht until 1810.

Rycerz charakterystyczny dla dukatów drugiej połowy XVIII wieku, z łokciem wysuniętym do tyłu i wyprostowaną ręką z pękiem strzał (dla pierwszych emisji przepasanym „złamanymi" wstążkami). Jest to zaledwie trzeci lub czwarty rocznik wybity stemplami autorstwa J. W. Marmé, który – z krótką przerwą w latach 1795-1802 – pozostał rytownikiem w Utrechcie aż do 1810 r.
