Dark gray toning applied for contrast serves to outline and elevate the devices. The obverse is well struck and mostly smooth, though some granularity is seen at the peripheries. The date is very bold, as is RAS of the assayer and the top of the mintmark. The legend PLVS VLTRA is definitively sharp.
