East Caribbean States - 100 Dollars n.d. (1988-1993) Black and orange on multicolor underprint. Portrait of Elizabeth II at center right, map of the East Carribean states at right. Wind surfer at left. Back: view of the Harbor of St. Lucia. Suffix letter L. Signature 1.P. 25.The suffix L. indicates that it issued for the island of Saint Lucia which was the largest island of the Eastern Caribbean states, being located about 39 kilometres South of Martinique and 34 kilometers Northeast from St. Vincent. Very rare. This is a modern Eastern Caribbean rarity that is not frequently encountered in collector circles. While this note does, admittedly, showcase some folding and creases, this piece is nevertheless found in a mid-attractive grade, boasting bright colors, satisfying margins and a vibrant orange portrait of a young Elizabeth II. An exciting early example of this type and definitely one of the tougher Eastern Caribbean notes to find! Graded PMG EXTREMELY FINE 40
