Oblong folio [39 by 30 cm], original full blue morocco, sides paneled with double gilt fillets with front bearing gilt and inlaid design based on the monogram of Queen Elizabeth II; spine with five raised bands, ruled and dated in gilt, with gilt and inlaid Crown & Monogram design; board edges and turn-ins gilt; marbled endpapers; all page edges gilt. 59, (7) thick cardstock leaves onto most of which are mounted reproduced photographs and captions of the Coronation Day's events; commemorative cover with four of the new monarch's stamps affixed to final blank page; integral sliding tray affixed to rear board holding commemorative printed program and a ten-piece set of the 1953 British coins (the first bearing Elizabeth II's effigy). Introduction signed by the Marquess of Aberdeen. Binding rubbed, particularly at spine, but still attractive. Near fine. No. 67 of 252 copies produced. Compiled by Charlotte Parker, it remains a handsome commemorative volume devoted to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and its inclusion of both stamps and coins makes it of particular interest to philatelists and numismatists.
