A wonderful volume from the library of Lyman H. Low, one of the most knowledgeable professional numismatists in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It brings together several rare offprints on Latin-American numismatic topics, particularly on the coinage of José María Morelos and Spanish-American proclamation medals. The letter from Betts to Low is substantive on the topic of the Morelos coins in the Fonrobert collection, and the original photographic plate bound into this volume is of high quality. Ex Louis E. Elisaberg, Sr. Library; ex Richard A. Eliasberg Library.
