Ink stamped institutional number on title page verso. Covers sunned and a little spotted. Very good or better. Scarce, particularly in such nice condition. Includes some coverage of the state of the currency in Louisiana (which at the time comprised vast sections of what would become the United States), discussing the catastrophic economic events of the 1720s and the ways in which the French government and the India Company tried to force their currency system into a place where the Spanish standard was entrenched.
