Noyes, William C. PHOTOGRAPHS OF COLONIAL & EARLY AMERICAN COINS. A remarkable archive of approximately 491 of these high-quality color photographs, all of them different, each measuring 5 by 8 inches and depicting both sides of a specific coin, with a unique identification number. Included are photos of: Massachusetts silver (92); Vermont coppers (109); Massachusetts cents and half cents (70); Virginia coinage (15); Washington pieces (6); Fugio cents (22); Maryland silver (18); New Jersey coppers (20); Machin's Mills and other American counterfeit halfpennies (77); Higley coppers (5); Immune/Immunis Columbia and Confederatio pieces (8); New York Excelsior coins (9); Continental Currency pieces (7); and others (39). Also included is a folder of other photos of various sizes. A small amount of duplication possible; counts are approximate. Generally fine. While Bill Noyes's longtime project of photographing every collectible example of United States large cent is well-known, his photography in other areas has received less attention. Collections represented here include those of Eric P. Newman, Andy Hain, Tony Terranova, the American Numismatic Society, Mike Ringo, and others. Ex Cardinal Collection Library.
