Includes: Elmira (January 23–24, 1882); Ralston (June 27–28, 1882, trimmed, but hand-priced); Ralston (October 16–18, 1882, hand-priced); Sprang (October 19–20, 1882); Ralston-Spang (December 13, 1882, trimmed and removed from previous binding, but hand-priced); Crepy (June 14, 1883); German (October 29–30, 1883); Beales-Nissley (October 31, 1883, printed on thick paper); and Vickary's Glenmere Museum (December 21–22, 1883). Nine catalogues total. All 8vo, original printed paper covers. Generally very good or better. Adams 44, 48, 50–51, 53, 57 and 59–61. Sale 50 features, according to Adams: "Chapman diatribe. Gem 1795 5¢, MS 1821 1¢. Excellent catalogs. Hard times tokens. 1858 proof set." At the end of the catalogue, Woodward appends a listing of his auction catalogues, with comments on rarity and other matters-very useful for researchers today. Many of these catalogues are scarce, with the Sale 60 on thick paper being especially so. Ex Cardinal Collection Library.
