Cuba 12.8.1891 P-41s PMG About UNC 50 20 Pesos (Specimen)
An exceptional specimen offering from Cuba. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. in England, this oversized 20 Pesos of the 1891 issue is fully intact, with strong original colors and sharply impressed engraving on both sides. Embossing can clearly be seen, confirming its originality. Seldom available in any form, most examples seen in the marketplace today are remainders. Fully issued notes are extremely rare, as are specimens. In fact, we must go back to 2009 to see another specimen of this denomination offered at public auction. An important opportunity for the Cuban specialist and one that we do not expect to repeat anytime soon. PMG mentions "Counterfoil included; printer's annotations; staple holes; minor rust".
