Northern Ireland, Northern Bank 1.11.1943 P-181c PMG Gem UNC 66 EPQ 10 Pounds
Issued during World War II, this 10 Pound note had considerable purchasing power at the time of issue. It does not appear, however, that this note ever spent time in circulation, and today it is the single finest in the PMG population report. Just 10,000 notes were issued with this date, which was the last date of issue except for a single run dated 1968. It appears that in the intervening 25 years there was no demand for notes of this denomination for the Northern Bank. A pleasing Gem Uncirculated example with strong eye-appeal.
