The highest denomination of an exceptional series of banknotes printed by the American Banknote Company. Never put into circulation, this appealing design has been treasured by collectors, but the available supply is limited, especially in the best of grades. This example is surpassed in the PMG population report by just a single finer example. It features an artistic design with an allegorical woman holding a globe at left.
