Southern Rhodesia 3.1.1953 P-13bs PMG About UNC 55 EPQ 1 Pound (Specimen)
An early date is seen on this fully original 1 Pound specimen from Southern Rhodesia. While it sustained some handling over the years, its paper quality is strong and the eye-appeal is excellent. This is one of the classic Queen Elizabeth II types that is very scarce in any form, with specimens appearing infrequently at best in the marketplace. Printer's annotations are seen in the top margin, including what appears to be a late 1952 date, indicating that this specimen was prepared prior to the actual note issue.
