China Yokohama Specie Bank Limited, Shanghai 10 Dollars 1.7.1914 Pick S711s Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 50 Net. A rare Specimen representing the 1914 dated issue, that would be redeemable at the Shanghai branch. A sharply executed vignette of the Yokohama Specie Bank, which played an important role for Japanese foreign trade is seen on the front of this example. The Shanghai branch was the first to be established in 1893 and many branches followed shortly after. The amazing ornamental borders, guilloche designs and detailed manuscript remain bright and clear on this piece. Red Specimen overprints and one POC are present denoting Specimen status. Third party grading company mentions rust, but that does not negate the fact that this example is the only example graded in the PMG Population Report. An extremely rare opportunity to obtain a very important part of history.
