Hong Kong Government of Hong Kong 1 Dollar ND (1935) Pick 311 PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. A stunning state of preservation can be seen through the third party holder on this breathtaking example. Intense purple inks on a multicolor underprint and deep embossing are seen on this very appealing note, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. The Government of Hong Kong assumed responsibility for issuing the initial paper currency in the colony beginning in 1935. Due to King George V's passing in 1936, this remains his only portrait note for Hong Kong.
