Chihli. Kuang-hsü Dollar Year 24 (1898) AU58 NGC, Pei Yang Arsenal mint, KM-Y65.2, L&M-449. Dragon's eyes in relief variety. Heavy but wholesome dark gray patina cloaks this majestic dragon Dollar. Having seen no significant time in circulation, this coin still possesses a portion of its original luster, but when paired with this heavy patination it reveals it's presence as a light shimmer and satisfying iridescent glow. The reverse is especially appealing as some sea-green and golden-yellow hues and extra luster has managed to shine through the patina to meet the eye. Very rare when found any nicer than this.
