Kiangnan. Kuang-hsü Dollar CD 1898 VF Details (Chop Mark) PCGS, Nanking mint, KM-Y145a.18, L&M-215, Kann-71. "Wu Hsu" reversed to appear as "Hsu Wu". A rare provincial issue that only appears at auction every few years and almost exclusively in comparable states of preservation. Despite the handful of chopmarks and scratches visible across the surfaces, this survivor exhibits bold central devices, its dragon design now thrown into sharper relief via deep earthen patination in the recesses.
