Sinkiang. Republic Mace (Miscal) AH 1352 (1933) AU Details (Rim Damage) PCGS, Kashgar mint, KM-YE39, L&M-775A. 8-pointed star variety. A spectacularly rare issue of which PCGS has not certified a single problem-free example and NGC has only certified an otherworldly MS63 and another "Details" example. This coin is an impressive specimen in its own right. Although rim damage is noted, the high relief details, especially the wonderful crescent moon, are soundly struck and nicely displayed. This treasure presents a wonderful opportunity to own one of the most desirable and least encountered examples of the Chinese provincial coinage types.
