Tibet. Theocracy silver Specimen Pattern 20 Srang Year 54 (1920) SP61 PCGS, cf. KM-Y22 (in silver). An immensely intriguing and scarce silver Specimen Pattern struck with the design of the contemporary gold 20 Srang. Dressed up in even slate gray patina that lends a beautiful, antiqued appearance to this Mint State piece. The stylized dragon is surrounded by eight lucky Buddhist symbols and intricately detailed motifs dominate the reverse. Undoubtedly a seldom occurring visitor on the marketplace, and we anticipate keen bidding as this crosses the auction block.
