KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 3.98 g, 12 h), struck posthumously under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, Kolophon, circa 310-301 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in outstretched right hand and scepter in left; to left, B above TI monogram; below throne, Π. Müller 796. Price 1808. Some dark deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
