Antiochus III, 223-187. Tetradrachm from 197, uncertain mint in Mesopotamia. Diademed head to r. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Apollo seated to l. on omphalos, holding bow and arrow. AΣ in outer l. field. 16.56 g. Houghton & Lorber 1133, 4b. Newell Western Seleucid Mints 845 (this specimen). Dark patina. Tiny encrustation. Well-centred attractive coin with best provenance. Almost extremely fine.
