ISLANDS OFF THRACE. Thasos. After 148 B.C. AR tetradrachm. 16.35 gm. 29 mm. Imitative type. Head of Dionysos right wearing ivy wreath and taenia / Herakles standing left holding club and lion skin, N(?) monogram to left. Lukanc 1563. HGC 6, 359. Good Very Fine; lightly toned, with a sharp strike on a slightly curved flan. An interesting imitation of strongly distinct style compared to the previous lot.
