Bactrian Alabaster Jar. A pleasing Bactrian alabaster jar, c. 3rd - 2nd Millennium BC, well hollowed with nice banding and translucent walls. The body is squat with flat base, tapering to a flared mouth. H: 1 ¼” (3.2 cm). Minor restoration to rim and a spot on the base. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range: $450 - $550.
