THESSALY, Koinon of Thessaly. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Triassarion (23mm, 8.40 g, 8h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Nike, holding wreath and reins, driving galloping triga right; Γ (mark of value) below. Burrer, MA–G 31 var. (obv. legend, star before bust[?], arrangement of rev. legend); BCD Thessaly II 976 var. (slightly different arrangement of rev. legend; same obv. die). VF, green-brown patina, minor roughness.

From the BCD Collection.

The engraver appears to have run out of room in the exergue, which required him to move the final "N" of "KOINON"slightly into the field.
