BUWAYHID: Sultan al-Dawla, 1012-1024, AR dirham (3.04g), Sh(iraz), AH408, A-1581, ruler's name and titles in the inner obverse & reverse margins, mint name largely off flan, but stylistically typical of Shiraz dirhams circa AH407-410, VF to EF, RRR. Unpublished, somewhat similar to Treadwell Sh408a, but citing only the caliph and his heir-apparent in the central inscriptions, his own name in smaller letters in the margins.
