KM# 377.7 (D&P-GC02 VAR) – 8 Reales 1845 Guadalupe y Calvo GC MP. NGC AU58.- Variedad mula con gorro puntiagudo o "normal" y anverso de águila gruesa con cola cuadrada, se cree que este anverso fue el segundo producido modificando el gorro para asemejarse más al diseño de la Ceca de México. Esta interesante combinación no descrita por Dunigan & Parker ES LA PIEZA MÁS RARA DE LA CECA PARA ESTE AÑO. La presente con un balance óptimo entre calidad y acuñación, notable definición en centros, prácticamente libre de desgaste en puntos altos, brillo en campos acompañado de un grácil tono de monetario en periferias. Virtualmente TOP POP dentro de la designación "POINTED CAP/SQUARE TAIL" en el censo de NGC, aunque, en nuestra búsqueda localizamos un segundo ejemplar ofrecido por Heritage Auctions (29 de Marzo, 2019), lote No. 31567, graduado MS61 con designación "NORMAL CAP/SQUARE TAIL", invitamos a comparar con la pieza que aquí se ofrece para dimensionar que tan superior es su acuñación y la conservación es la correcta para un MS61 toda vez que no hay fricción en puntos altos, mínimas rayitas en campos, no al grado de castigarla AU58. MUY RARO.
ENGLISH:
Mule variety with pointed or "normal" cap and obverse of thick eagle with square tail, it is believed that this obverse was the second one produced by modifying the cap to resemble the Mexican Mint design. This interesting combination not described by Dunigan & Parker IS THE MINT'S RAREST PIECE FOR THIS YEAR. The present one with an optimal balance between quality and struck, remarkable definition in centers, virtually wear free in high points, luster in fields accompanied by graceful monetary toning in peripheries. Virtually TOP POP within the "POINTED CAP/SQUARE TAIL" designation in the NGC census, although, in our search we located a second specimen offered by Heritage Auctions (March 29, 2019), lot No. 31567, graded MS61, lot No. 31567. 31567, graded MS61 with designation "NORMAL CAP/SQUARE TAIL", we suggest to compare with the piece offered here to dimension how superior is its struck and its conservation is correct for a MS61 since there is no friction in high points, minimal scratches in fields, not to the degree of punishing it AU58. VERY RARE
