KM# 406 (por tipo) – 25 Centavos 1888 ¿PRUEBA DE ANVERSO? AU.- Cuño de anverso estampado sobre el reverso de un 8 Reales 1879 Mo MH (KM# 377.10, D&P-Mo64). Queda claro que el diseño y diámetro es correspondiente a la denominación de 25 centavos, la cual se acuñó en 9 cecas durante 1888, sin embargo, realizando una comparativa con la emisión oficial en cualquiera de las cecas notamos mínimas diferencias; los numerales 8 se observan más estilizados y de mejor apariencia, el listón que une las ramas es poco más pequeño y debajo de él cuelgan dos pequeños arcos dobles, en los demás elementos no detectamos variación. Sabemos de la existencia de una pieza análoga, pero de un cuño de reverso ceca Pi sobre un 8 Reales de la misma ceca con fecha 1873. La conservación del anverso ajeno es un AU sin daños, respecto a la pieza huésped un XF con marcas, rayitas y golpes en canto, pátina oscura en algunos sectores sobre la cara que se reacuñó. Sin devoluciones. Sumamente interesante

Obverse die stamped on the reverse of an 8 Reales 1879 Mo MH (KM# 377.10, D&P-Mo64). It is clear that the design and diameter corresponds to the denomination of 25 centavos, which was struck in 9 mints during 1888, however, making a comparison with the official issue in any of the mints we note minimal differences; the numerals 8 are more stylized and better looking, the ribbon that joins the branches is slightly smaller and below it hang two small double arches, in the other elements we do not detect any variation. We know of the existence of an analogous piece, but with a reverse mint "Pi" on an 8 Reales of the same mint dated 1873. The preservation of the obverse is an undamaged AU, with respect to the host piece an XF with marks, scratches and knocks on the edge, dark patina in some sectors on the face that was re-struck. No returns. Very interesting
