FRANCE, Royal. Louis XIV le Roi Soleil (the Sun King). 1643–1715. AR Quart d'écu a la mèche courte (26mm, 6.82 g, 6h). Paris mint; différent: rose. Dated 1644 A. Duplessy 1463; Ciani 1835; KM 161.1. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 62. Lustrous moderately toned and graded uncirculated. A very nice example of this early coinage of the Sun King.
